Watkinsville Man Accused of Brandishing Folding Pruning Saw During Fight

The 46-year-old on the day before Thanksgiving was charged with terroristic threats and acts. An arrest does not mean a conviction.

Oconee County Sheriff's deputies on Nov. 21 arrested a Watkinsville man on a charge of terroristic threats and acts after an alleged fight broke out at a Moreland Way residence.

According to an incident report, two men in their forties who are roommates were fighting in the front yard over unfinished yard work. A witness told deputies she walked outside and saw one of the men remove a folding pruning saw from his pants and overheard him say to the other, "I'm gonna cut your goddamn head off."

The victim did not wish to give a written statement, but did confirm a threat had been made, according to the report. No one was injured during the incident.
