Truck Reported Stolen from Jerusalem Road

Keys had been left in the ignition of the unlocked vehicle parked on the rural property.

A gray 2002 Ford F-150 pickup was reported stolen from a property in the 1300 block of Jerusalem Road over the weekend.

According to an Oconee County Sheriff's report, the truck's owner had parked the vehicle behind a barn on Friday while he was chopping wood in a pasture.  He told deputies the truck was left unlocked with the kids in the ignition around 5 p.m. and when the he returned on Saturday at 9 a.m., it had been taken.

Aside from a bent radio antenna, the man said the truck was in "like new condition" and estimated its value at $20,000.

The truck's information was entered into the National Crime Information Center and Georgia Crime Information Center.
