Tractor Stolen From McRee Street Driveway

The following information was supplied by the Watkinsville, Ga. police department. An arrest does not mean a conviction

Watkinsville Police were called to a McRee Street residence Sunday morning where a resident reported that someone had stolen his new John Deere lawn tractor from his driveway. The mower is valued at $3,500.

In his weekly news release, O'Dillon recapped some of the other incidents that police responded to during the week ending on Oct. 7:

  • On Oct. 1 at 11:15 a.m., police were called to Experiment Station Road at North Main Street after a 2009 Toyota Prius was hit from behind by a 2005 Honda Civic. No one was injured.  A 27-year-old Greensboro woman was charged with following too closely, expired tag and a child seat violaion for not having a four-year old-safely secured.
  • At 10:15 Tuesday morning, Oct. 2, police arrested Bryan Wayne Bradshaw, 21, of Williamsburg Place, and charged him with two counts of theft by shoplifting. The arrest resulted from incidents Monday and  Tuesday inside a Watkinsville convenience store. Bradshaw was booked into the Oconee County Jail.
  • Police were called to the Town Center parking lot last Thursday around 10:20 p.m. after callers reported a domestic fight in the parking lot.  Brett A. Benson, 20, of Bishop, was arrested and charged with simple assault after coming to his wife’s place of employment and starting an argument that resulted in a physical altercation. Benson was barred from the Town Center property and was booked into the Oconee County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.

Watkinsville police responded to a total of 33 calls within city limits between Oct. 1-7, 2012.
