Three People Rambling Around Rambling Rills Arrested

The information in this story comes from the Oconee County Sheriff's Office. An arrest isn't the same as a conviction.

Two teenagers, a boy and a girl, and a 33-year-old woman whom they said was their aunt were arrested by Oconee County Sheriff's deputies and charged with loitering and prowling.

According to an incident report, the three knocked on the door of a home on Rambling Rills Drive in Statham around 1am on January 10th, asking for gas for their vehicle. The person in the home suggested they keep walking and then called authorities.

When deputies responded to the call, the three ran when they saw the patrol car. Deputies found the 33-year-old and the 17-year-old girl on a second story deck of a house in the subdivision. The teenage boy ran into some woods and then onto Rambling Rills Road, where the deputy found him. All three were taken to the Oconee County Jail.

Because the two teenagers are juveniles, they won't be identified here. The girl was charged with loitering and prowling and the boy with prowling. The 33-year-old woman is Brandy R. Whitlow of Monroe. She was charged with loitering and prowling as well.
