Three Arrests Made in Connection with Reported Vehicle Burglaries in Oconee County

The trip reportedly targeted the Townside subdivision in Bishop.

Three individuals are facing charges related to vehicle burglaries that occurred Thursday, June 13. 

According to an Oconee County Sheriff's Office incident report, the suspects allegedly entered two vehicles in the Townside subdivision in Bishop before fleeing the neighborhood. A lookout for a red-orange Chevy Avalanche connected to similar past incidents in Oconee and the surrounding area was issued. The Avalanche was located in Clarke County, where the three suspects were taken into custody and the stolen property was found. 

Leroy Junior Mitchell, 36,  and Jonathan Bernard Littleton, 28, both of Athens were arrested and charged with two counts of burglary in the second degree and possession of burglary tools.

Antionette Lasheay Johnson, 19, also of Athens, was arrested and charged with being party to the crime of burglary. 

According to the Sheriff's Office, Mitchell had a prior arrest in August 2012 where he was charged with theft by receiving.
