Store Employee Alleges Workplace Rape
The case is under investigation by the Oconee County Sheriff's Office.
An Athens woman told Oconee County Sheriff's investigators this week that she was raped last month at Kohl's on Epps Bridge Parkway, the store where she works.
The assault reportedly occurred inside a business office, according to an article in the Athens Banner-Herald.
The alleged rapist was a co-worker at the time, but the man is no longer employed there, Chief Deputy Lee Weems told the newspaper.
Investigators want to speak to the man, but believe he may have left the area, the newspaper reports.
