Something Thrown from Passing Vehicle Allegedly Damages SUV

The information in the story comes from the Oconee County Sheriff's Office. An arrest isn't the same thing as a conviction.

On Christmas Eve, a woman was heading south on Hwy. 15, toward Greensboro, when a man in a truck approached her. As he passed, something hit her Toyota Highlander, damaging the bumper and front headlight. A sweet, sticky substance was on the car's bumper.

The driver of the truck didn't stop, so the woman turned around and followed him all the way into Watkinsville, where Sheriff's Deputies stopped him at about 9:25pm.

Joshua Charles Godwin, 18, of Bishop, was charged with criminal damage to property and terroristic threats and acts. The Highlander sustained $1,000 worth of damages.
