Someone Shoots Cow and Sheep in Two Farmington Pastures

The killings happened in Farmington.

A farmer in Oconee County recently complained to the Sheriff's Office that someone had shot and killed a cow, valued at $1,000.

According to a story in the Athens Banner Herald, a Watkinsville man found the dead cow in his Freeman Road pasture on Sunday morning.

Another man who lives in the Farmington area told the Banner Herald reporter that someone had shot and killed a sheep in Farmington late Monday night or early Tuesday morning. And earlier in the summer, the man said, a hog was shot and killed, the story says.

The story says the cow was 30 yards from the roadway, the sheep was 150 yards and the hog was 60 yards away.
