Oconee County Parolee Booked on Battery, Other Charges

54-year-old Jeffery Allen Bishop of Daniels Bridge Road was booked Tuesday. An arrest does not mean a conviction.

An Oconee County man is behind bars on multiple charges stemming from an alleged domestic incident on Daniels Bridge Road last Thursday.

The adult female victim told deputies she had been sleeping and was awakened to superglue being placed on part of her body, then choked and struck in the head with a golf club, according to an incident report. Deputies said they noticed bruising on her head and injuries to her arms.

After being released from the hospital for a matter unrelated to the alleged incident, 54-year-old Jeffery Allen Bishop of Daniels Bridge Road was booked Tuesday on charges of battery, sexual battery, three counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and a parole violation.
