A truck traveling on the exit ramp of US 441 headed toward Experiment Station Road left the roadway, traveled about 100 feet, struck a guardrail and overturned late Wednesday morning, authorities said.
The accident happened around 11 a.m., according to a Nixle alert sent by the Oconee County Sheriff's Office.
One of three occupants of the truck was transported to St. Mary's hospital for treatment of injures that didn't appear to be life-threatening, Sheriff Scott Berry said, and no other vehicles were involved.
The ramp was shut down for about an hour and a half while the wreckage was cleared.
The truck was carrying a load of about 44,000 pounds of desks and chairs that were to be delivered to a Barrow County school, Berry said.
The Georgia State Patrol is handling the accident.
