Oconee Sheriff's Office Crime Report

A highlight of incidents reported during the week of Feb. 24- March 3.

The following information was gathered from Oconee County Jail booking reports and incident reports:

  • On Feb. 24, Christopher Michael Patrick, 35, and Keith Lee Patrick, 28, both of 2330 Atlanta Highway were each arrested on one battery family violence charge.
  • Marissa Marie Maraccini, 18, of 151 Mill Road in Jefferson was arrested and charged with one count theft by shoplifting on Feb. 24.
  • On Feb. 25, Vincent Daniel Nichols, 39, of 408 Piney Grove Road in Greenville, S.C., was arrested and charged with financial transaction card fraud.
  • On Feb. 26, James Denver Sloan, 64, of 2137 Gloucester Place in Wilmington, N.C., was arrested on charges of DUI and failure to maintain lane.
  • Tiffany Cyvonne Syphore, 32, was charged with deposit account fraud on Feb. 28 and booked at Oconee County Jail.
  • On Feb. 28, Emily Mariel Steelman, 17, of 1250 Red Fox Trail in Bishop was booked at Oconee County Jail on one charge of possession of a weapon.
  • Ashly Nichole Gibson, 20, of 2400 Robert Hardmen Road in Winterville was arrested on one charge of theft by shoplifting on March 1.
  • A woman reported her son's cell phone was stolen while at 3500 Hog Mountain Road at Recreation Playground on March 1 between 7 p.m. and 8:45 p.m.
  • On March 2, Mary Lynn Redish, 51, of 112 Dobbs Drive in Athens was arrested and charged with simple assault and simple battery.
  • Edward Maxamillion Souza, 30, of 1422 Washington Way was arrested on one charge of theft by conversion on March 2.
  • On March 2, Erik Neil Lord, 22, of 679 Piedmont Road in Hull was charged with financial identification fraud and financial transaction card fraud.
  • Stefanie Leanne Bessinger, 27, of 1040 Timber Mill Road was arrested and charged with deposit account fraud on March 3.
  • On March 3, William Brandon Fitzpatrick, 35, of 469 Akins Road in Statham was arrested on one count of possession of drug-related paraphernalia.
