Oconee Docket Book Jan. 4 - 8

The following information was supplied by the Oconee County Sheriff's Office. An arrest does not mean a conviction.

Jan. 8

  • Leonard Dewayne Evans, 44, of Norcross, was charged with forgery in the first degree.
  • A 28-year-old Jefferson woman was charged with misdemeanor theft by shoplifting.

Jan. 7

  • A 20-year-old Madison man was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.
  • An 18-year-old Bogart man was charged with misdemeanor theft by shoplifting.
  • A 28-year-old man from Fredrick Drive was charged with giving false information, driving without a license and a tire requirements violation.Β

  • Stephen Lee Heggood, 21, of Malcom Bridge Road, was charged with aggravated stalking.
  • A 17-year-old man from Dowdy Road was charged with misdemeanor theft by shoplifting.
  • A 35-year-old Lakeside Drive man was charged with two counts of simple battery and one count of interfering with a 911 call, all misdemeanor offenses.
  • A Statham man, 51, was charged with failure to appear.

Jan. 5

  • Justin Michael Grose, 17, of Lawrenceville, was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana, DUI, and failure to maintain lane.Β  Additionally Grose was charged with probation violation on Jan. 6.
  • Keithia LaShawn Thorton, 36, of Bristol Woods Drive, Athens, was charged with theft by taking.
  • A 21-year-old male resident of Branch Street was charged with possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

  • Christopher Joshua Benoit, 30, of Oliver Springs, TN, was charged with aggravated stalking.
  • Juan Alejandro Mauricia-Valenciano, 26, of Greensboro, was found to have an active warrant from Greene County and was charged in Oconee County with suspended license and unregistered vehicle.
