Oconee Deputies Investigate Numerous Reports of Entered Autos

Most of the vehicles were left unlocked, according to the Athens Banner-Herald.

Oconee County Sheriff's investigators and patrol deputies are working together to solve multiple cases of entered autos this week.

Residents of Hunter Trail, Jessica Way, Osceola Avenue, Millstone Run and McNutt Crossing filed reports, according to an article in the Athens Banner-Herald, and most of the vehicles involved were left unlocked.

Sheriff Scott Berry told the newspaper that the thefts are happening at night and reminded citizens to protect themselves by locking their cars.
