Former Oconee County resident David Shouse is in a state of disbelief over the murder Misty Michelle Myrick.

"I can't imagine her getting into an argument with anybody. I really can't," he told reporters Saturday. "She's never spoken ill of anybody that I've heard.  And she loved everybody. She didn't hate anybody. She had nothing against anybody. I just can't believe somebody would do this."

Shouse, who now resides in Madison County, describes himself as a longtime friend of Myrick, and said he was a frequent customer at area Waffle Houses where she worked.
