A resident of the 1500 block of Lane Creek Road told Oconee County Sheriff's deputies Sunday he returned home from a weekend trip and noticed several items missing from his garage.
The burglary occurred sometime between 5 p.m. on Oct. 26 ad 3 p.m. on Oct. 28. A red kayak and a compound bow were among the items missing. The missing items are valued at $1,050. Someone had apparently tried to unsuccessfully break into a steel container behind the residence and damaged a lock in the process. The case is under investigation.

- The owner of Bimmers South Automotive in the 1000 block of Ashley Avenue reported someone removed a catalytic converter valued at $700 from a BMW on his property sometime between 6 p.m. on Oct. 25 and 9 a.m. on Oct. 26. A chain link fence on the far end of the property had been cut.
- An unlocked vehicle parked at a 1000 block Brown Chapel Road residence was entered sometime between 10 p.m. on Oct. 25 and 8 a.m. on Oct. 26. A pair of prescription glasses and a GPS unit were taken.
- A unlocked Chevy Silverado parked at a hunting club on US 78 near Goat Farm Road was entered sometime between 6:30 and 9:30 a.m. on Sunday. A wallet with $1,000 cash, a circular saw and a portable air compressor were taken.
