Investigation Continues After Police Seize Illegal Drugs, Money and Phone from Teenager

Two drivers argued after a wreck last Wednesday night on 316 and the Oconee Connector.

A Bogart teenager was arrested last week after he was involved in a wreck and deputies subsequently found $8,000 and packs of marijuana in his car.

According to a story in the Athens Banner Herald, the drug investigator for the Oconee County Sheriff's Office will take over the investigation of the incident. Amir Reza Arabnia, 18, of Long Creek Drive, was charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.

In addition to the drugs and the money, the story says, deputies also took Arabnia's cell phone and a song that named him and talked about his selling drugs. The wreck was last Wednesday. Arabnia was released from the Oconee County Jail Thursday on a $5,000 bond.
