Failure to Yield Right of Way Leads to Collision for Watkinsville Woman

A Watkinsville woman, driving a 2002 Honda Civic, was south bound on Milledge Avenue around 9:40pm on January 8.

Kantavious Devom Burgess of Norwood Circle, driving a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder, was north bound on Milledge. As he attempted a left turn onto Springdale St, he turned in front of the Civic, causing them to collide.

Both drivers as well as passengers in the Burgess vehicle were transported to St. Mary’s Hospital. The passengers were from Sycamore Drive, Norwood Circle and Berlin Street. Burgess was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way Turning Left.
