Deputies Searching House on Old Bishop Road for Possible Meth Lab

The Oconee County Sheriff's Office reports a search warrant was being executed in the 1000 block of Old Bishop Road just after 4 p.m. on Monday.

It's possible that the has located another methamphetamine lab in the county, according to reports from authorities.

Chief Deputy Lee Weems said a search warrant was being executed at a 1000-block residence of Old Bishop Road just after 4 p.m. on Monday. Fire and medical units were also on the scene.

Earlier in the day a deputy was responding to a call from Animal Control to check on a couple of problem dogs when he noticed some items on the property that are usually associated with meth labs, Weems said.  The deputy called for a drug agent and the process to obtain a search warrant began, he said.
