Clarke Co. Teen Shot In Head With Pellet Gun

A 15-year-old Clarke County teenager was placed on life support Monday afternoon after accidentally being shot in the head by a pellet while with friends in Oconee County, authorities said.

The boys had been shooting cans with a pellet rifle when the apparent accident occurred, Chief Deputy Lee Weems of the said. The injured boy, who is from Clarke County, was transported to Athens Regional Medical Center and placed on life support, he said.

The two other teenagers are Oconee County residents, Weems reported.
