Car Theft Suspect Behind Bars in Oconee

David Lynn Agan, 41, was transferred to the Oconee County Jail on Aug. 20, booking reports confirm.

An Atlanta man who July 24 in Oconee County after allegedly ditching a stolen red 1990 Buick Reatta behind a house in the Old Greensboro Road area and fleeing on foot into the nearby woods is behind bars.

David Lynn Agan, 41, was booked into the on Aug. 20, according to booking reports.Β  He had been picked up on the warrants in South Carolina and extradited back to Oconee County, Chief Deputy Lee Weems of the Oconee County Sheriff's Office said.

Agan is charged with theft by taking of a motor vehicle, obstruction of a law enforcement officer, fleeing or attempting to elude, reckless driving, and failure to maintain lane.
