Burglaries Reported on Daniell Court and Rankin Road

A computer was taken from one home, and hundreds of dollars in cash was stolen from another.

A resident of the 1000 block of Rankin Road on Monday reported someone forcefully entered his home and took a pair of $80 Asics tennis shoes and $800.

The residence appeared to have been ransacked, as there was clothes pulled out of suitcases and closets, according to an Oconee County Sheriff's deputy's report.

Deputies this week were also called to investigate a burglary of a home in the 1000 block of Daniell Court.

A woman told them someone unlawfully entered her home sometime between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday and removed a silver MacBook Air valued at more than $1,500.Β  The laptop was entered into the Georgia Crime Information Center.
