Air Rifle, Televison Taken During Burglary

A resident of Paul Ridge Road says he discovered the crime had occurred when he returned home Sunday.

A resident returned home on Sunday, Nov. 25, after having been away since Nov. 16 to find his house in the 1000 block of Paul Ridge Road had been burglarized.

The 46-year-old victim told an Oconee County Sheriff's deputy that he found the back sliding door and inner French doors open when he arrived home shortly after 12:30 p.m.

Someone had taken a 60-inch Samsung LCD flat screen television, valued at $2,200, and a Big Cat air rifle worth about $150. Nothing else appeared to be disturbed, the responding deputy noted in an incident report.
