87-Year-Old's Wallet Stolen, Credit Cards Used to Make $4,000 in Fraudulent Charges

The Oconee County, Ga. Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying suspects and a car caught on surveillance video Sept. 5 at Walmart on Lowe's on Epps Bridge Parkway.

The Oconee County Sheriff's Office Wednesday evening released still images of two suspects -- a man and woman -- authorities believe may be connected to a case of theft and fraud.

The images were obtained from video surveillance along with images of a car with which the two individuals may have been associated.

Earlier in the day, an 87-year-old woman reported her wallet as stolen, according to Chief Deputy Lee Weems. The victim's credit cards were then used to make more than $4,000 worth of fraudulent charges  at and on Epps Bridge Parkway, he said.
