Businesses will be ranked from first to third place based on number of poll votes, receiving 10 points for first, 8 for second and 6 for third. Readers may also rate a business in the Oconee Patch Directory (ratings are based on a 5-star scale, and you must be a registered user in order to rate a business). Businesses will be ranked from first to third place, with the highest rating receving 10 points, the second best rating receiving 8 points, and the third best receiving 6 points.

After the voting period, we'll add up the total points for the top three businesses in poll votes and directory ratings, and the business with the highest point total will be declared the Readers' Choice. If there's a tie, the business with the highest total number of positive reviews on its directory listing and positive comments on our weekly Readers' Choice article will be declared the winner.
