'Fifty Shades of Grey' - A Good Read or Mommy Porn?

There's no doubt 'Fifty Shades of Grey' is generating some heat in literary circles. In some cases, it's even considered too hot. So what do you think - hot, or too hot to handle?

There's little doubt the hottest property in some local libraries at the moment is E.L. James eBook-turned-No. 1 bestseller "Fifty Shades of Grey." But not everyone thinks a library is the right place for such literature. The book has generated plenty of heat in one way or another since hitting the top spot of the New York Times Bestseller list.

The first in a trilogy, "Fifty Shades of Grey" is reported to tell the story of an inexperienced college student who falls in love with a tortured man with some offbeat sexual tastes.

With it being labeled by some as "mainstream erotica" and others as "mommy porn," the . Miami Dade Public Library System in Florida pulled the book off its shelves. Brevard County Public Libraries has done the same. However, it is reported there are long waiting lists for a copy from anywhere else it is available.

The Brevard County Public Library defended its ban in a story reported in "The Huffington Post," saying it doesn't carry porn. It argued that "Fifty Shades of Grey" is not a classic like other erotic literature it carries, such as "The Complete Kama Sutra," "Lady Chatterley's Lover" and "Tropic of Cancer."

So what do you think? Should public libraries ban "Fifty Shades of Grey?"

If you've read the book, let us know what you think of it. Will it too one day be considered a classic or is "mommy porn" a fitting description?

Mommy Porn. The author is briliant though in capturing women's by conjuring up this fantasy. It's all the things they would never actually do, but can get all excited pretending they would, in the right situation. Lose the inhibition women and get kinky with your mate, you may actually like it more than you fantasize.

It is not for the library administrators to decide what the public should or should not read .in an open society the public decides by purchasing books that are on the market. Since there are a lot of sales and demand for this book the public has indicated it is worth reading whether or not it is porn does not matter.
