Are You the Same Person You Were In Your Youth?

How much have you changed, and how much more do you expect to?

Do you think and feel the same as you did when you were in high school, college, a young adult? Do you think you will always have the same personality, ideas and value system you had in your youth?

According to a recent story on NPR, we don’t stay the same as we age. Oh we all know that our looks change – trying to reverse that trend is a multi-billion dollar industry. But what about our personality, our thoughts, our value system? According to research from Harvard, that changes too. It suggests that all those things change, almost in 10-year increments although more so in the younger years. It tends to slow down a little as we age. We are, however, constantly evolving - according to research.

So what about you? Are you the same person you were in your youth or are your views, your personality and even your value system very different now?

Interesting article... but where are weekly articles from Leigh Hewett? I'm missing her writing!
