Oconee Soccer Alliance Update

The weekly round up of games by your hometown club.

There was some great soccer played by your hometown club this past weekend:

U13 Girls had a nice win over Buckhead FC 7-1

U15 Girls had a tough weekend dropping two games. Saturday against UFA 3-6 and Sunday against Norcross Fury 1-6.

U17 Girls tied GA. Mountains YMCA 1 -1 with Alex Jordan scoring on Saturday. On Sunday Oconee beat United FA White team 4 - 1. Jessie Denney had a hat trick and Daniela Crumley scored her first goal of the season.

U13 Boys RED played at Inter Atlanta and won 7-1. They had four different goal scorers; Marcel Siger (2), Ignacio Bustamante (2), Connor Higgins, Victor Silva-Ornelas, plus an own goal by the Inter Atlanta keeper. The defensive line up of Connor Higgins, Jack Weisenborn, Carson Pittard, and Render Vignos was solid. The Team is now second in their division with 15 points.

U13 Boys White lost to AFC Lightning 4-1

U13 Boys Black lost a tough game.

U14 Boys did not play this weekend

U15 Boys defeated the Fayette Futbol Club (FFC) Thunder 5 to 2 in a match up of first and second place teams. The teams were tied 2-2 at half time. German Ventura scored 4 goals (He has 6 overall) and Brian Solis had 1. Matthew Miller, Chap Thompson, and Myles Litts played great defense in the second half. The U15 Boys are currently in First place with a 3-0-1 record and and 17 points. They play Laurens United away on Sunday.

U16 Boys had a tough weekend. Saturday they lost 2-1 to SDY Jaguars. Ben Schriefer, keeper, was stellar with more than 10 saves and Powell Steele scored on a PK. U16 Assault boys lost to Triumph Green Sunday in the rain 6-4. Tyler Bledsoe scored twice, Powell Steele and Kyle Fromm each had a goal. Aaron Culpepper had two assists.

U17 Boys won on Sunday by a score of 4-2 over Covington YMCA. Goals scored by Luis Ulloa (2), Chase Kane (1), Chris Bible (1). OSA led 3-1 at half and held on with an additional goal in the 2nd half and conceded a second goal to finish up the game 4-2.

The Boys U19 team coached by Ed Rock remained undefeated over the weekend. They pulled out a thrilling 4-3 win on Saturday night. After being down 2 to 0, the boys rallied back with some great goals. Candy Aquirre scored 2 tremendous goals. Jimmy Parker and Jorge Delgado completed the scoring for the Oconee Assault team. On Sunday night in the rain, the Boys easily defeated NASA. The team was up 4 to 0 before winning with a final score of 4 to 2. Dakota Heaton and Nick Parker played well for Oconee. Goals were scored by Jorge Delgado (2), Preston Henry and Eric Genoa. The Boys have a record of 5 wins and no losses on the season to date.


U19 Boys Howard did not play this weekend.
