OCPRD Teen Extreme Program Gives Back

More than $400 was raised during this school year's Penny Wars competition.

The Oconee County Parks and Recreation Department Teen Extreme program raised over $400 during this year’s Penny Wars competition.

Each school year the two public middle schools divide and compete to see who can bring in the most pennies, the money raised then goes to a local charity selected by staff and participants. This year a donation was made to the Butterfly Dreams Farm Therapeutic Riding Program, Inc. which is located in Watkinsville.

Last week, a check presentation was held at the Community Center at . Congratulations to Butterfly Dreams and our Teen Extreme participants for raising over $400 to give back to our community!
