Night of Blue Lights

The 1st Annual Night of Blue Lights is a fundraiser for C.O.P.S. and benefits families of fallen officers.

Oconee County citizen Lee Dyer organized the event and says between 12 and 15 nearby law enforcement agencies will be represented.  Some of the evening's events include:

  • Best Blue Lights
  • Brightest Blue Lights
  • Fastest K9 (and demonstration)
  • Coolest DARE vehicle

Dyer says that around dusk, all patrol vehicles will turn on their blue lights.  There will also be hamburgers, hot dogs, brisket sandwiches, and other food items for sale.  Activities will be available for kids.  T-shirts may be purchased for $15 each.  Admission is free, but donations are encouraged.  All proceeds go directly to the cause.
