The T. R. R. Cobb Camp #97 Sons of Confederate Veterans and The Laura Rutherford Chapter #88 United Daughters of the Confederacy invite members of the public to Confederate Memorial Day Observances.
A flagpole and marker dedication to all Oconee Confederate Soldiers will begin at 2 p. m. in the Watkinsville Cemetery. That will be followed by a memorial dedication at 3:15 p.m. in front of Eagle Tavern for two civilians who died in a Union prison.
A reception takes place after the second ceremony.
