The Athens Area Newcomers Club hosts the first meeting of 2011. The club presents programs to initiate new residents of Clarke and Oconee Counties to the diverse experiences available in Northeast Georgia. Members have the opportunity to hear noteworthy speakers and learn about both the history of the region and plans for its future. The club also hosts special interest groups, including book and gourmet clubs.
