The Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation (OCAF) is happy to announce our foliage Friends Workshop for Children & Families.

Age Group: 3 to 5 years

Date: Monday, October 21, 2013

Time: 10:00am to 11:30am

Fee: OCAF Members - Free
        Non-Members - $10.00 per child (adult included)

A Participatory Workshop - An Adult Must Attend with Each Child:
Younger children will use their imnagination to turn fall leaves, twigs, moss, and other organic material into a whimsical piece of art. Participants are encouraged to go outside before the class and gather interesting leaves and press them between newspaper to make them flat. The Instructor will discuss with the students the changing of the seasons and what happens to the natural world as it begins to change color. Students will be encouraged to take the natural elements and design their own piece of art. This class is inspired by Andy Goldsworthy, a British sculptor, photographer, and environmentalist producing site-specific sculpture and land art. Pre-registration and Payment is required!
