Constitution Day Celebration

Constitution Day Celebration - The Canon will fire again at 4:00p.m. sharp! Signaling the celebration of our amazing U.S. Constitution! The Reverend John Andrew Chapter, NSDAR & the Junior American Citizens of Watkinsville invite you to join in the festivities at the Oconee County Court House on September 17, the nationally recognized day on which the last signatures were made on the Constitution. We will hear from Randy Beck, UGA Professor of Constitutional Law, hear proclamations from our Mayor, participate in patriotic rituals, and hear The Ruark Sisters from Bostwick, GA. Come a little early to stop by Historic Eagle Tavern. Be sure to wear your Revolutionary Costume & bring your bell, but most of all-- Come & Celebrate!!
