Benefit for Project Safe: Stomp Out Domestic Violence

Stomp Out Domestic Violence is a spin-off of Project Safe’s hugely popular Dancing with the Athens Stars.  Stomp Out Domestic Violence pairs teams of novice steppers from the community with experienced coaches. This year, a new twist is that the novice teams are paired with teams from the Clarke County School District who both coach and perform on stage with the novices. Funds raised through Stomp support Breaking Silence, Project Safe's dating violence awareness initiative and teen text line. This year our teams are: students from Alps Elementary and the Studio Dance Moms, students from  JJ Harris Elementary and JJ Harris Teachers , students from Clarke Middle School and The MAMAs (Middle Aged Men of Athens), students from Hilsman Middle School and Model Citizen Salon, students from Clarke Central High School and Gamma Sigma Sigma, and students from Cedar Shoals High School and DanceFX. The student teams are the experienced steppers and they have been coaching their adult counterparts in order to put on a great performance and bring awareness to the issue of dating violence and the services Project Safe provides through Breaking Silence.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students and children under 18 and available now through the Classic Center Box Officewww.classiccenter.com.
