Witches And Wizards Invade Oconee County Library

Young Harry Potter fans anxious for the premiere of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" gathered at Oconee County Library Thursday afternoon for a little Hogwarts-inspired fun.

seemed more like Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry Thursday afternoon as young Harry Potter fans gathered for trivia and other activities inspired by the popular books and movies.Β 

The library buzzed with wizard chatter as children awaited the of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," the final Potter film.Β 

A group of children and parents, some in costume and bearing "magic wands" were instructed by library staff on how to make things like Exploding Lollies, Origami Owls, and edible wands.Β

There was also Harry Potter trivia and bingo, and the activities were followed by a showing of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1."
