Officers made an arrest for terroristic threats and acts and arrested another individual on an outstanding warrant in Taliaferro County.

In his weekly news release, Chief Lee O'Dillon recapped some of the incidents that police responded to during the week ending April 3.

  • Alesha Merie Stephens, 28, was charged with terroristic threats and acts and criminal trespass on March 28, O'Dillon reported.
  • Police observed someone driving across the lawn at Amity Lodge on March 30. Officers arrested Taylor Jackson Williamson, 19, of Leesville, South Carolina on an outstanding warrant  in Taliaferro County, O'Dillon said.
  • On April 1, officers investigated a traffic accident at the Watkinsville Post Office around 11:30 a.m. No one was injured, but both vehicles involved were damaged.

Watkinsville police responded to a total of 31 calls within city limits between Monday, March 28  and Sunday, April 3, O'Dillon said.
