Strip clubs throughout metro Atlanta have been in the news quite a bit lately.

Many metro Atlanta governments are struggling over whether these adult-only establishments attract crime and other "undesirable" elements.

The new city of Brookhaven faces a likely lawsuit from Buford Highway's Pink Pony. The city council recently adopted an ordinance similar to DeKalb County's, one that prohibits such nude dancing establishments from selling alcohol.

Accused Shooter Says He Was Upset About the Way White People Treat Black People - Midtown Patch

Nkosi Thandiwe, the former security guard on trial for the 2011 Midtown shooting that killed a woman from Decatur and left another paralyzed, took the stand in his own defense Wednesday and confessed to the shooting.

WGCL-TV reported that on Day 2 of the trail Thandiwe testified that he snapped and was upset about the way white people treated black people.

Student Arrested and Charged Over Shooting Hoax Makes Bond - Cumming Patch

The Flowery Branch High School student who was arrested Tuesday for posting comments about a possible shooting that was to occur at the school is out of jail.

Tiffani Torres, 18, of Flowery Branch, posted a $1,000 bond late Tuesday afternoon, according to Sgt. Kiley Sargent of the Hall County Sheriff's Office.
