Set Your Oconee Clocks Ahead Tonight

Spring forward by setting your clocks ahead one hour for the observance of Daylight Saving Time, which officially begins at 2 a.m. on Sunday.

Most would agree that the weather in Oconee County today certainly feels springlike.Β  Take that feeling one step further and spring ahead by setting your clocks ahead one hour for Daylight Saving Time.

"The extra hour of daylight in the evening is said to give children more social time with friends and family and can even boost the tourism industry because it increases the amount of outdoor activities," according to timeanddate.com.

Two states, Hawaii and Arizona, do not observe Daylight Saving Time, NASA reports.
