Robber Tells Hotel Clerk He'll 'Blow Her Brains Out' - Cartersville Patch

A man who asked for change apparently as a ruse brandished a gun, robbing a Cartersville hotel and threatening the clerk, late on the eve of Thanksgiving.

The Hampton Inn clerk, 31, said she was approached just after 10 p.m. by the African-American man wearing a light blue sweatshirt and dark-colored pants, who handed her $1 and asked for change.

When she opened the cash drawer, the robber showed her a black handgun and "told her to give him the drawer or he would blow her [expletive] brains out," according to the Bartow County Sheriff's Office incident report.
