AccessNorthGa.com reports a woman who was shot attempting to help her neighbor involved in a domestic incident in Auburn has died.

Monica Anne Long, 31, died about 9 a.m. Monday. 

Long remained hospitalized following the April 19, 2012, incident, during which Shuaid Zaid Omar, 29, shot and killed his girlfriend, Auburn resident Betty Marie Maddox.

Omar later shot himself at a Suwanee residence and .

 

– Cartersville Patch

 officials released patrol car video (see above) of a  that reached 90 mph and injured an officer.

The driver, Jonathan Ray Adams, 24, of East Rocky Street in White, , including aggravated assault on an officer, hit-and-run with injuries, reckless conduct and endangerment of a minor, open container and driving while license withdrawn, in addition to a number of traffic violations.
