Police Release Convicted Arsonists’ Cell Phone Videos of Fire at Historic Cotton Mill – Douglasville Patch

Douglasville Patch obtained the cell phone videos captured by the teenagers sentenced for their roles in destroying the historic Douglasville cotton mill last May.

Adrian Bond, 19, Terry Carringer, 19, and Jeromie Hand, 18, were sentenced to 60 to 120 days in a probation detention center and seven years of probation after each pleaded guilty to charges of burglary and second-degree arson on Nov. 14.

In the attached videos, the teens can be heard joking and cursing while they watch and record video of the mill's destruction. "This is so cool," one is heard saying. "Look, those power lines are hanging down in the fire," another comments.

Tyler Perry Filming Scenes in Decatur Public Housing – Decatur Patch

Filmmaker Tyler Perry was shooting scenes Tuesday for  at the Allen Wilson Apartments in Decatur.

Trucks and trailers lined Electric Avenue near the Community Resource Center and a catering station had been set up in the parking lot behind nearby Lilly Hill Baptist Church. Perry has a city permit to shoot on Wednesday, too.

On Monday, Perry directed scenes at the Waffle House on East College Avenue in Avondale Estates. He has a permit to shoot for 10 days there.

Forsyth Investigators Identify Body Found Near Burning Vehicle - Cumming Patch

Forsyth investigators have identified the Cumming man whose body was found near a burning vehicle on Pilgrim Mill Circle off Pilgrim Mill Road in northeast Forsyth County Monday afternoon.

William Joseph Barefoot, 53, of Cumming, was discovered at the scene of a vehicle fire, according to Capt. Tim House of the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.
