Regional Roundup: Baby-Toting Robbers, Rabid Raccoon and Pantless Woman

Atlanta Police are asking for the public's help in finding a couple suspected of committing two Buckhead area robberies over the Labor Day weekend. In at least one of the crimes, police reports indicate that the couple took a baby along during their caper.

A raccoon that bit a 72-year-old man on the finger last week in northwest Forsyth County has tested positive for rabies, according to the .

The man was bitten on Aug. 30 as he was entering his barn to get food for his animals.

“The raccoon gave no signs of aggression or being rabid when the man saw him," said Lt. David Waters of the Special Services Unit of the FCSO. "It just attacked him immediately when he came into the barn."

A 47-year-old Braselton woman is facing charges of public indecency, public intoxication, obstruction, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace following a Sept. 1 incident in Winder. 

According to a  incident report, an officer was dispatched to the area of West New Street and Sixth Avenue in reference to two intoxicated individuals arguing in the street. Exiting a patrol vehicle, the officer was executed a traffic stop on a white Jeep Grand Cherokee and observed a white female running away wearing no pants.

A Milton woman told police someone stole her passport, Social Security card, original birth certificate, 12 credit cards and $10,000 in cash from a shoebox inside her closet.

The woman said she had a verbal argument with her live-in boyfriend on Aug. 29, according to an incident report by Milton police. On the next day, she went into her closet to gather her belongings to move out. That is when she noticed a bag containing those items was missing.
