Regional Roundup: Large-scale Roundup of Wanted Felons, Arrest Made in Spa Camera Case and Film Shot in Metro Atlanta Opens Wednesday

State and local law enforcement agents took to the streets of Barrow County on Sunday, Aug. 12, executing arrest warrants for suspected drug dealers, and 28 individuals were taken into custody in the large-scale operation. 

Officials with the , the , the , the , State Probation and Parole, the District Attorney’s Office and Immigration and Customs Enforcement combed Barrow County in search of 75 wanted felons.

– Northeast Cobb Patch

Cobb County police have arrested the owner of the Salon Avenue Suites and charged him with unlawful surveillance.

Last month, a recording device was discovered in a private room of a Northeast Cobb salon. The room was one in which women typically received Brazilian wax treatments. The owner of the camera, identified as spa landlord Mark Allen Storch, successfully made off with the data before the police arrived.

– Canton-Sixes Patch

Disney's "The Odd Life of Timothy Green," which was filmed in Canton and other locations across metro Atlanta, makes its big screen debut Wednesday.

Part of the movie, which stars Golden Globe Award winner Jennifer Garner, was shot at the  in March 2011.

About 260 extras, some of them from Canton, were cast for the town hall scene.
