Here are some of the most-read stories on Oconee Patch this past week.

The Oconee Connector at Highway 316 was shut down Thursday afternoon while deputies worked the scene of an accident that injured two and chased a suspect  who fled on foot. Sheriff Scott Berry that Kirk Devin Bray, 38, of Woodbine, Georgia was taken into custody and was wanted on various charges in multiple counties.  Bray had been driving a stolen truck involved in the accident, Berry said.  The Athens Banner-Herald also reported that he allegedly ran chop shop in Cherokee County.

North Oconee High School and Oconee County Middle School both introduced new principals on Monday. Philip Brown, the new North Oconee principal, was formerly the principal at OCMS. His replacement, Judy Marable, was formerly an assistant principal at OCMS.
