Early voting starts today.

Weather: The warm streak continues with high temperatures predicted to be in the low to mid 80s today. Plan on mostly sunny skies turning to partly cloudy skies overnight.

Top things to know about:

  • Starting today through Nov. 4, registered voters may cast a ballot in advance for the referendum in Oconee County and the or .  Go to the Oconee County Board of Elections and Registrations Office for early voting on ELOST.  Stop by Watkinsville or Bogart city halls to vote in advance of Nov. 8 elections.
  • The group Students for the American Red Cross is sponsoring a blood drive at UGA's Memorial Hall from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • The Oconee County Senior Center offers a line dance class and an exercise class this morning.  For more information about membership, call 706-769-3979.
  • If you are thinking about taking the family to visit an historical site or a Georgia State Park, stop by Oconee County Library first.  Borrow a ParkPass or Historic Sites Vistors Pass for up to 7 days with a valid library card and park for free, according to the library's website.
