  • Fall Break means no class Thursday or Friday for Oconee County students and teachers.  Enjoy the time off!
  • The all-women free networking group the GoGos holds a at Coldwell Banker/Upchurch Realty at 2405 West Broad Street in Athens from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring a sack lunch and drink. Read more about the GoGo Network from Patch Local Voices blogger Becky Finney.
  • The is cooking up BBQ to benefit a Bryan County Sheriff’s deputy who was injured in a traffic accident on Oct. 7 while responding to a call. The deadline to order a $7 BBQ plate is 6 p.m. today. Plates can be picked up at the Sheriff's Office on Friday from 12-2 p.m. Orders of 10 or more can be delivered on Friday and Saturday.  For more details, click here.
  • Dan Matthews and Charles Ivie, candidates for Mayor of Watkinsville, will meet in a forum, sponsored by The Oconee Enterprise at the Oconee County Library.
