Let the shopping madness continue... it's Cyber Monday!

Weather: Temperatures begin to cool down on Monday.  The National Weather Service predicts a high near 60 degrees. High winds are expected with gusts of up to 25 mph possible. Heavy rainfall is likely.

Top things to know about:

  • On the first Monday following the Thanksgiving holiday weekend find sales online.  Before buying, check out a list of offered by the Better Business Bureau.  Where are the best websites for Cyber Monday deals?  Share what you know in the comments.
  • Normal business hours resume today at all Oconee County offices and facilities and Watkinsville City Hall, which were closed Thursday and Friday in observation of the Thanksgiving holiday.
  • is collecting toy donations for Operation Christmas Child through yoga classes. The class is held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at 1020 Twelve Oaks Place in Watkinsville.  There is no cost to attend, but participants are encouraged to bring a small toy donation. Today's class, from 6-7 p.m., is for ladies only.
  • Residents of Pinewood Estates South mobile home park have a chance to ask questions of the Oconee County Utility Department about the during a series of public hearings.  The first takes place 7 p.m. at the Oconee County Civic Center.  Another hearing has been scheduled for Dec. 12.
