Peanut butter lovers, this month's for you!

Weather: Warmer temperatures start the holiday week, with highs in the mid 70s.  Mostly cloudy skies are in the forecast.  The National Weather Service predicts a 20 percent chance of scattered showers.

Top things to know:

  • Teens are invited to celebrate Thanksgiving early at a Treats and Board Games event from 6-8 p.m. at the . It is free and open to kids ages 13-18.
  • Did you know there's a whole month devoted to the love of peanut butter? And it just so happens to be November? The price of peanuts has jumped lately, but lovers of the sticky stuff continue to slap it on sandwiches along with jelly or bake it into tasty treats.  Are you a lover of peanut butter?  What's your favorite kind -- crunchy, smooth, natural? If you have a tasty recipe for a holiday treat that calls for peanut butter, share it in the comments below.  Preparations are in the works for Thanksgiving feasts later this week and your neighbors might like to try whipping up something new!
