Lisa Anderson will be inducted into the Oconee County Schools Hall of Fame.

Weather: The workweek is expected to start out cloudy with high temperatures in the upper 60s. There's a 20 percent chance of rain showers overnight.  Lows will be in the mid 50s. 

Top things to know:

  • In recognition of UGA's Recycling Awareness Day, the ACC-Recycling Division and Office of Sustainability staff and volunteers will be at the Tate Student Center from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. handing out free green bags. They will also answer questions about new recycling rules in Athens. 
  • Babies, toddlers, and their caregivers are all invited to a free session of stories, songs, nursery rhymes, bouncing, cuddling and playtime at the Oconee County Library starting at 10:30 a.m. 
  • During this evening's meeting of the Oconee County Board of Education, Lisa Anderson, who served students of Oconee County and Malcom Bridge middle schools from 1996 until her untimely death in 2007, will be inducted into the Oconee County Schools Hall of Fame, according to the school system's website. The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. 
  • The Town of Bishop holds a meeting at 7 p.m. on the second Monday of every month.
