Grab a blanket and a picnic basket and enjoy live theatre in downtown Watkinsville.

1. There's only a 20 percent chance that Oconee will see rain today, according to the Weather Channel.  High temperatures will be in the mid 90s again with mostly sunny skies.

2. Check out a about Friends of the .  Donations and volunteers are needed to help operate the Bookstore located on Main Street. 

3. It's the opening day of Shakespere on the Lawn: As You Like It at , presented by Rose of Athens Theatre.   There are several Oconee County natives involved with the play, including director Lisa Cesnik Ferguson, actor Richard Hoard, actress Katie Sawhill, and costume designer Tessa Turk-Baxter.  The play will run at 8 p.m. through June 12.  See ticket information and .

4. The Watkinsville City Council meets for a 7 p.m. in the Watkinsville Community Center.  Council will consider the proposed FY 2012 budget.  See a complete draft of the agenda, attached as a PDF.

5. All four candidates for the 113th District House Special Election are scheduled to attend a this evening at the from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.
